Skiing

Last weekend my director (ethan) took us to Muju, which is the closet ski resort to Gwang-ju. Really it is the only one in the southern part of the panincella. It is about two hours away from Gwang-ju so it was not too bad of a ride. It was nice getting out of the city and seeing more of the Korean country side. I was reminded how beautiful Korea really was. It made me become excited to see everything in the spring, when everything turns green.

Once we arrived at Muju, it looked just like a ski town that you would find in Colorado or Vermont, nothing but ski and snowboard rental shops along the way to the resort. We stopped and got our rentals at one place. It was great, we got to rent nice ski's and snow pants too. They had everything to rent. I figured the mountain would be like one in North Carolina, a little small but I was impressed. It was about the size of jack frost, for all you PA people. Not hudge but a nice size. The snow was good and the lines were not too bad. My director had rented a room at the resort so we spent the night right on the mountain. I got to walk out of the resort on to a slope. It was pretty sweet. I got a bunch of good runs in and felt good about my skills. Maria did a great job going down the mountain, the only thing was that she was so cold. We had to stop three times before making down to the bottom so that she could warm up, a little bit. Neither her nor I fell all day. I was happy with that and we did not hold back, we were shreading it up out there. I forgot my camera but I took a few photo's with Kate's, my co-worker. It was over all a good trip and I am happy to say that I have been skiing in Korea now. Sorry, the spellcheck is not working, so if I spelled something wrong, I am sorry!
