Rainy weekend

We had a nice weekend even with the rain. On Saturday I had a soccer game which Maria and our friend Sara came out to support the team. Fortunately we did not disappoint and we beat a Korean team 3-1 and I had an assist. After the game we went out for Chinese and a movie. We saw Get Smart, I would give it 2.7 stars out of 5. You can wait for the DVD release.

On Sunday the rain had slowed down so we went to the mountain for a hike. We ventured to the other side of the mountain, to see some new sites. We had a lovely time and hiked a good way too. At the top of the mountain we watched a man walking past us down the mountain holding a Popsicle. We did not put it past them to carry a frozen treat to the top of the mountain but even in Korea it seemed unlikely. At the top, sure enough a man had a backpack full of Popsicles and dry ice. Not much of a view at the top because we were in a cloud. It was refreshing getting out and smelling clean crisp air.

After a long muddy hike at the bottom of the mountain in the river, they had tolet bowl scrubbers to clean your shoes off with. You just sit by the river and dip and scrub until satisfied. It was brillant, I am going to bring it back to the states, don't worry.

You missed a beautiful wedding on Saturday (Conor & Kristin's), and we missed you two! The setting reminded us of the area where you two were married, out in a State park surrounded by rocks and trees. I'll post my photos on Kodak Gallery sometime this week, and there is a website for seeing the ones the professional photographer took, but I need to get the details on that. I'm sure someone in the family will email it to you. Love, Marilyn

When are we going to see more Ethan and Maria excursions and experiences? I check two blogs each day, Zac Sunderland's, as he sails around the world, and yours. Perhaps you are just too busy trying to do as much as you can before you leave to come home, and don't have time to put it on your blog. But I miss seeing new photos and reading about all that you are doing. By the way, when are you scheduled to return to the US, and in which area of the country will you be living?
