This morning our plans of leaving in 2 or 3 weeks changed to leaving in a little over a week. It seems that the visa department in Korea is flooded, and so they are recommending we come on a temporary work visa until our long-term visa is issued. Classes start next week, and the schools are panicking about having no teacher. They want us there as soon as possible, and we have decided to leave on Sunday, September 2. This means our first day in Korea will be my birthday! Of course, I was looking forward to spending my birthday with family, but it seems we will just have to celebrate early. Birthdays are really supposed to be celebrated for a whole month anyway, in my opinion.
Our plans, as of now, are to celebrate our first anniversery with a wonderful graduation/anniversery/going away party in the afternoon, here in PA. Then we will start our journey to Tallahassee. Unfortunately, due to change in departure dates, we will have to skip our previously planned trip to Charleston to visit friends. If you are one of our Charleston friends, we will be in touch soon.
We are both looking forward to kickin it with the Florida fam for a few days, then we'll be off to the other side of the world!
