This is Little Women. Winner of the Teamwork award.
Maria here. I hope you like these adorable videos of my wonderful little actors and actresses. There was a huge English speaking competition last weekend, and my students did so well. Out of forty something skits from all different schools, our 3 groups all won. Two of them will go on to compete in the National competition in Seoul! There was also a debate-type division to the competition, and one of my students won that too! She will also go to Seoul. If she wins there, she will get a 3 month trip to study English in London! It was quite a day. Oh, the skit we didn't catch on video was Little Red Riding Hood, it was one of several "Little red riding hoods." An interesting twist to the story that most of the other schools had in their version was the wolf getting shot by Little Red Riding Hood's mom, the hunter, or the grandma...sometimes with a machine gun. It was shocking, to say the least.
This is Aladdin. This one is going to Nationals with Little Red Riding Hood.
Yesterday while I was at this competition from 9am-6pm. Ethan came for a little while with his director and coworker, but then left early since they didn't have anyone competing from their school. Afterwards they all went out to Outback Steakhouse for lunch and then to a movie! Unbelievable.
I can't complain though, because I went out with my co-workers to a Korean restaurant where they pull an octopus straight out of a tank, and cook it right on the table. It was insane. I tried to capture it on tape, but by the time I got the camera out, it wasn't trying to climb out of the pan anymore. It was very exciting.
Sorry for the poor videography, the smells of food were making me hungry so I moved the camera a bit too fast as a result.
In one last bit of news, we got a microphone so we can now make cheap calls from our computer. If you download skype (www.skype.com) its free, and you can call us from your computer to ours for free, we can even do live camera calls! So fun! I'm very excited. E-mail us if you want our number.
I'm starting to miss all of you. Remember, your invited to Korea any time!
