Sorry for the delay!

This is Ethan here. Yes I am at work and found some time to write a post on what we have been up to this past week. Sorry to all of our fans out there, that have been checking our blog religiously, the website was down for a few days so we could not add a new blog. We do appreciate all of you and your support. It really feels great to know that people are interested in our lives and want to share the experience with us.
A lot has happened, I think the last time we wrote was last Saturday. Well on Sunday we took the 1187 bus that God blessed us with putting the stop right in front of our apartment. We took that to the mountain which was packed. When we got off and it felt like a ski resort. There were a lot of people and restaurants but no snow or ski's. Well we did not follow the pack to the one trailhead but we followed the path less traveled. It was wonderful to get out into nature and breath fresh air. The city air can bring a million different smells in one short walk to the store. Up and up we went to a grassy meadow and the view was worth the hike, as always. Maria and I hung out on top for a while laying in the grass and Maria says to me, "Do you think they have bugs up here?" She looks down and there are hundreds of little tiny red tic-like bugs on her pants. So to say the least we did not lounge around in the grass to much longer. The pictures speak for themselves.
At the bottom of the mountain a women standing in front of her restaurant was rubbing her belly telling us to come in and eat at her restaurant because it is the best restaurant around. Of course all in Korean so we did not understand anything she said except for the sign language. It turned out to be a great meal, we look up vegetables in our translation book(you are safe with vegetables most of the time) and she brought out a great meal. She would come and stand over us while we were eating to see if we liked it.
After lunch we got back on the bus and went down the mountain. Once back at the apartment we crashed. We took it easy that night because on Monday was our first real day of work.
Maria's job starts at 12 and mine starts at 12:30 so we get to sleep in but we are not finished until 9 pm so it is a long day to say the least. Instant coffee has been the ticket for me, it actually is pretty good for a quick pick me up. Wednesday was a holiday Korean foundation day (like Columbus Day) so our first week was a four day week, not to bad. The week was pretty low key just getting more familiar with the city life. Mike and Dave's speakeasies is a international bar that you can go to and hear people speaking your language, it is quite nice. One night they had the England vs Australia Rugby match on so that was pretty great.
On Saturday we went down town and were going to get something to eat. I am a little ashamed to admit this but we had a very good meal at Outback Steakhouse. I had a full rack of baby back ribs and it was finger licking good. So if you come to visit we can always eat their. Feeling very full Maria and I were going to go to the movies to let everything settle. That did not happen. Walking out we see our friend Kate in front of Starbucks, which is usually the meeting spot to go places. She was meeting up with Whit and Lindsay to go to the convention center for an art show. So we decided to go, so much for letting the full rack of ribs settle in my belly. We hopped on the subway (which there is only one line in the whole city) and took it outside of the city. We then walked to the convention center. It was really cool and I am glad that we went. That explains all of the pictures, it was very mod (modern). Not like any art show that you would go to in the States.
After the art show we hung out at Kate and Jim's apartment for a while. Then we headed back into the city. We went to the speakeasies and hung out. It was a lot of fun but very busy on a Saturday night, I prefer an off night, a little more chill.
Sunday I played soccer with Whit and some internationals at the university near our apartment. It was raining cats and dogs but we played on turf so the field was just full of puddles, not muddy. I only played the first half because I was going to meet up with Mike our recruiter to go and play roller hockey. So Mike picked me up and we went to the place were they practice. It is an old run down rink and we didn't have the key. We waited around for a while but the guy that has the key doesn't show up. So we walk around to see if any of the windows are easy to get into. We spotted one so I scaled up the wall and walk along this ledge and climb in through the window. It was not that crazy but I thought I would make it more dramatic. We finally got in and played roller hockey. One of the guys is leaving so I might get his old gear. Not sure yet if I am going to play but he let me wear it to play to see if everything fit. Well to say the least the guys are all Canadian and were pretty good and I was not quite up to par but they said I did pretty good for my first go at it. We will see, I am not sure because I really want to play soccer and hockey might be a little too much. To say the least I was a little sore the next day, and still are.
Maria and I went to the EMART last night to shop for food. It is like the mecca of stores but it is the best place to get everything you need. We got cell phones yesterday but they did not work quite right so Maria took them back to get them checked out. I think they just need to be activated. We should be getting the Internet on Wednesday so we will be able to update our blog more regularly.
Sports Update!!!!!!!!!!
A lot has happened since last update and most of it not for the better. Well lets start with the MLB. The Phillies got knocked out by those crazy Rockies. I think September just used all of our fire power and we had nothing left for October. Well like we say so often will wait and see next year. The Cubs went out in style too, by getting swept by the Diamondbacks. I hope that the Rockies can win that series, it would be good to see them win it all. Red Sox taking care of the Angles with no problem and the Indians with the Yankees. So it looks like Boston/Cleveland and Denver/Arizona. I'm making my predictions. Denver over Cleveland in 6 games. Take it to Vegas.
College football what a crazy year of upsets and down to the wire finishes. Well Penn State lost to Illinois which seems crazy but they are 5-1 and I think are rank know. We bounched back and beat Iowa which is not as big of a deal now but a win is a win. Man I think that everyone is glad to see USC loose but if I was a betting man who would have ever guessed it would have been Stanford to take down the Trojans. LSU stands alone by beating Florida which made me believe in the Tigers. The biggest surprise is UCF ranked I think fifth in the nation. We will see it was hard to see the bull dawgs lose to the Volunteers. We are about half way done the season so anything can happen.
Pro football is pretty much the way I thought it would pan out except I had the saint going back to the NFC Championship but it looks like that won't happen. The Patriots like I thought would be the team to beat. Man, I actually got to watch some of the Bills Cowboys game this morning. I can't believe the Bills blew it. Romo gave them five interceptions and they still lost. A win would have helped the Eagles chance to make a game up on the Cowgirls. We will see I think we have Jets next week if that is not a win I think we can all say early that will see next year. Adam's Stealers shut out the Seahawks which was my big game of the week. We have hockey to look forward to next, we will see in the flyers can make something happen this year. I'm Ethan Simcox from the sports update.
Well I am sorry for all of the grammatical errors it is not like I am an English teacher or anything. Hope all is well and I will post the pictures to go along with this blog later. Have a great day. PEACE ethan
