Maria here. We recently made the best purchase of 8 months....BIKES! Not only bikes though... really, really darling bikes! Ever since we got them, we have been so mobilized!

We live near a river that goes through the city. We can get on the bike
path there and ride stress-free. It's SO NICE! And, it's gotten us doing more exploring in the mornings before work (a time usually spent tidying up the apartment and dilly-dallying). We actually saw nature the other day. We saw two turtles on the river! So exciting! One nice feature of our bikes (other than the colors) is that they fold up! Isn't that neat? So, since I don't have a bike back home I'm going to find some way
to ship it back if it takes me 4 months! Yes, I said 4 months...that's all we have left of Korea! We really can't believe it. There are times when 4 months sound way to short, and others when we wish we were already back. We are really trying to make the most of all of our final 4 months here..."final 4," that rings a bell. I think I listen to too much ESPN online background noise! On the teaching front. I have two cutes student quotes of the week so far for you.

Maria: What is a "queen sized bed?"
Sabio (12 year old advanced student): "It's a bed that is very large where a lady can sleep."
Today I was wearing a matching beaded necklace and bracelet that my dear mother-in-law gave me. One of my students pointed to my necklace and bracelet, and said: "Teacher! Set?"
(meaning "Did your necklace and bracelet come as a set, Mrs. Simcox?) It was quite cute.
